Three Levels of Membership

Here is a great document which explains the three levels of membership which are required each year if teams wish to compete at the Regional Tournaments. You should complete Step 1 & 2 as soon as possible.
Here in NY Region 12, Step 3 is done with your school district after the December 15 registration deadline.

Odyssey of the Mind Registration

Membership Registration is a 3 step process that must be completed in the following order. Completion of these 3 steps allows teams to compete in their regional competition.

      

STEP 1: Complete Membership Registration at the National level=Odyssey of the Mind, Creative Competitions Inc.=CCI by December 15.  The cost  is $135 per Membership.

This registration gives schools access to the 5 long term problems, the non-competitive primary problem, the Odyssey of the Mind Program Guide and the opportunity to enter official competitions.

If your school has multiple teams, within the same division, competing in the same problem, you need to purchase an additional Membership.

Paid CCI Membership yields a Registration number that is required for NYSOMA Membership.

Go to odysseyofthemind.com to register online or obtain forms.

Registration must be completed by December 15. 

STEP 2: Complete Membership Registration at the State level=New York State Odyssey of the    Mind Association, Inc.=NYSOMA by December 15. The cost is $90 per Membership.

Registration is done online, after National Membership is completed. Use the Membership # from Step 1.  If you have multiple National Memberships, you must also purchase multiple State Memberships.

Late registrations (after December 15) will incur a $50 late fee.

Payment must be postmarked by February 1.  (A Purchase Order alone does NOT constitute payment.)  Payments received after February 1 will be subject to a $50 late fee. 

TEAMS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO COMPETE IN REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS WITH OUTSTANDING FEES. 

Acceptable forms of payment are check, money order, Paypal or Credit Card.  Credit Card and PayPal payments can be made at nysoma.org.

STEP 3: Complete Membership Registration at the Regional level=contact your Regional Director

Regional Directors provide information and support throughout the year.  Contact your RD for registration and tournament details as well as coach and judge training.  Visit the Regional Info section for more information on your particular region.
