Team Registration

Team Registration

It's never too early to enter your team into the NY Region 12 Tournament. The directions below will help you through the process of getting each and every team under your District's Membership entered and registered for the Tournament.
The Deadline to have all of your teams in the system is DECEMBER 30, 2016

Please note, that you won't have to get all of your Team Members entered by then (but you are welcome to do so if you have that information) but we need to know the Problem, Division, & Coach for each team before the end of 2016.  With the Holiday break approaching quickly - we don't want anyone to miss the deadline.

As always - please contact me with any questions you may have.

#################################################################################

Go to the National website www.odysseyofthemind.com

Go to “TEAMS” then “Member Login” (District) using your membership number and zip code.

The screen you see should have your membership information – school name and address, and your Region is listed.

This is the MEMBER screen. Under your school’s information you will see a link named "Team Registration".

You will see “Register a new team” with drop down boxes. Select the appropriate information for EACH team participating in your school under this membership number. This will register you for the local Region 12 Tournament.
If you have already entered some of your team information, clicking “Register a new team” will bring up the listing of teams currently registered, as well as the “Register a new team” area.

Please make sure that you are registering teams under the appropriate membership number. This is especially important if you are working with multiple registration numbers, or if you are entering information for the entire school district.

Upon successfully registering each team, you will receive an automatically generated email – if you do not get such an email within a few hours, please log back in to see if your team is listed.

If you have any questions, or need any additional information – feel free to contact me.

Membership Deadline - December 15

A very important deadline is coming up in less than two weeks!

DECEMBER 15 is the deadline for both the National Registration (CCI) and the State  Registration (NYSOMA).

If you have not started this process, you need to do so today!

As of this writing, we have 39 total National Memberships, but only 25 of those have completed the electronic "Step 2" listed below for the NYSOMA State Membership. We need to get everyone to complete that step in the next two weeks to avoid a monetary late-fee penalty.
We here at Broome-Tioga BOCES will work with your school district to complete Step 3 once all your teams have registered.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions - below is the full document that will help you through the process!

Regards, Tim

We're trying something different here in NY Region 12 to keep you updated and informed. We will be posting the information we send out via email to the Building Coordinators here on this blog. This will give you a quick way to reference the materials we discuss, as well as interact with the others here in the Region.
